While most new site builds are based on theoretical propagation modeling, drive testing provides actual empirical propagation mapping. This is highly suggested prior to signing off on any contractor or factory direct installed system.

While conducting drive-tests, RSSI measurements, the current position of the vehicle and the street/geographical map of the area tested are displayed in real time. Actual results for frequencies measured are portayed on a multi-color contour map for your reference. Not only can signal anomalies be identified but accurate coverage maps are guarranteed as opposed to theoretical terrain based propagation maps generated at a desk.
